YI SUKINI: ROUND 100 – DMS VS. MTHIMBHANI
The historical beef has resurrected again.
Vhele ya vavanuna a yi heli, it seems like MLFM awards have hurt a lot of rappers, they have awaken a beef most of us thought was dead. Mthimbhani and DMS beefed for a long time, together na Xphola who was once in DMS’s side but now has switched sides. Xphola used to beef Mthimbani and to me if u switch sides in the middle of a beef, it means u lost or u weighed your options and chose the strong team. I could be wrong a ni tivi. Ntiyiso i ku, between DMS and Mthimbani we have never declared a winner na sweswi. Maybe it is about time our AKA and Cass put their mouths on a beat ivi hina vanhu swilo hi gandla stamp.
Beef yi huma where DMS spoke on nomination ya Mthimbhani ya Best Xitsonga Hiphop song of the year eka XMA15 ta Munghana Lonenen FM. DMS u ri the boy (Mthimbhani) u xava airplay and na masagwadi, DMS is insinuating kuri ku na a bigger person behind Mthimbhani who buys him airplay, interviews and awards ta MLFM. But Mthimbhani u ri all this I jealous na rivengo, hina hi ri a hi tivi nchumu hi tiva music and should they put this beef in a song then we will be able to comment.
Truth be told, Mthimbhani has been in a lot of mouths, could this mean he’s doing well kumbe vhele ngwenya yo xava xava success ya yona? Aredzi, mo ni koka gasi ni yimela beef track coz I can smell its coming. We can’t wait to declare a winner this time around, it won’t go unnoticed or not reviewed. Hosi ya magelegele ya vulavula.
YI SUKINI: Genge catches feelings over Lesson saying he’s the best Tsonga rapper
Tsonga Rap has always had bullies, vo Mr know-it-all, na genge ya vo ‘mama I made it’…
MLFM has been inviting the nominees ta Best Xitsonga Hiphop song of the year (XMA15) to interview them for their listeners to know them better up close and personal or it could be because they hardly play the nominated music, the audience don’t know the songs.

DMS was 1st and his interview went well, but that one that caught everyones attention i ya Lesson. Dj Brian had a dope interview with this dude and I think Lesson handled it well, the problem came in when Lesson claimed to be better than everyone ka Tsonga Rap. As usual genge never liked that and went mad about it, ve Lesson hloko ya yena ya n’wi pengela and that wasn’t the platform to say what he said. Mina I don’t see a problem about this, I feel that’s the most hip hop thing to say, its a competitive genre after all that’s why everyone claims to be better than everyone .

I feel like it is not really about what was said but who said it, we know Lesson is being hated by many, veri mbulwa ya vanhu yi na makatla. Mr Maltown Kings (founder) has had beefs with many cats so I guess that too is the reason niggas are mad. Soshangaan(one of the nominees) said his piece about what Lesson said and u can tell he wasn’t happy.

DMS (nominee) had something to say too.

Janfirst na yena came in, leyi ngwenya yi tiveliwa controversy but this time he did not choose sides, he wanted to understand what was the problem and then later asked us who do we think deserves the award.
Tell us what do u think hi mhaka ya Lesson and what he said ka interview ya MLFM, was he right to claim he’s better since this is hip hop, kumbe yi valavula mbodza madala ? Hi ta yingisela ka radio…

Eka Boza Shisanyama we managed gather Tsonga Urban musician in one space to talk Tsonga urban music, it’s standard, and what needs to be done for it to reach the levels of Mindzhumb na Tsonga Electro.
I am happy to announce that the event was a success and I would like to humbly thank everyone for coming through, and to every like who interacted with our content on social media – ha khensa. To Magelegele who pulled through even though they had better plans than chilling with us, ha khensa vo Tati. To urban Tsonga musicians who committed to Gelegele Sessions invite, ha khensa swinene.
Gelegele Sessions does not exist to put you down, we exist to create a future where we are good enough to compete with mainstream Urban artists ta vunanga bya vantima. Loko mi humesa mbodza please accept it ku hi nge mi tweli vusiwana, this is not fat camp – hi ti ku tirheni, genge yo loloha a yi tshiki ta ha suka. We are on a mission to build our market to be able to sustain us as Tsonga musicians. YI SUKINI: Dala Fam threatens me with legal action for reviewing a song his featured on as mbodza
Hambi matachi ni ta lungha na, hi ta vona kona.
It hurts to be told that your track is whack, I know, I’ve been there. But it is very childish to take it to heart and not improve. Mukwamula, ni vula Dala Fm, the nigga is mad that I reviewed Patmesh’s song where he is featured as MBODZA WA VHIKI.

Firstly, it’s not even his jam. Secondly, yes I mbodza and that won’t change. What he’s missing is that the reviews aren’t personal or a campaign ku n’wu onha vito, we have without his request posted about his upcoming album, which is free promotion. I’m fair, I say the good and the bad. I don’t know kuri why ngwenya ti tsutsumisiwa hi marhumbu so just cause yi tsandeka to spin negative press.
Well, if he wants to fight let him bring it on; be it legally, physically kumbe hi loyana once, a ni chuhwangi. For as long as I purchase/download these songs with my data/money I will review them. Tell your lawyer I’m looking forward to hearing from him.
Gelegele music yi vuyela gasini…
