Mbodza wa Vhiki

I do not even know where to start with this one, should I go straight to the verses or should I discuss the flops made by Cleinbouy. swini heta na mandla because this is starting to be a trend ka Cleinbouy, he gets big names on a song and they do not deliver, could be his CONCEPTS or his choices when it comes to choosing who is suitable for which beat. This joint yi hlanga-hlanganile swinene, it sounds like a battle rap match nje, everyone is doing their own thing ku hava mongo, it is disjointed AF you would swear kuri it is 4 or 5 songs put together in a space of 4min. On this one, Cleinbouy u hlanganise 5 big names( Lesson, Gymarrow, DeeEnKay, Kay Will and Raddix) and again the line up seemed like a recipe of a good joint kambe again rappers never showed up. CONCEPT ya risimu ayi twali, i had to look up the title to get an idea, himpela ma rapper lawa ma hambanile and that did not do justice to the song unfortunately. I mbodza leswi swinga endliwa la, everyone in this joint u busy blowing his own horn about how better they are, what they have achieved and the bars they have. funny enough is not none of them showed those skills, no one was actually proving why va hambinile na vanwana, what I am trying to say is that they spent time saying that they are better instead of showing why or what makes them better and different. Most were just taking shots at Tsongarap, which is the same baby all these rappers claim to be raising. Lesson came in and dissed Janfirst and later mention lines like ‘ni mrapper wa nhloko u ngeni kumi mancileni’ what the fuck is that? Gymarrow came through with nice wordplay and he mentioned that Tsongarap wont lose the sauce and he is the source of the sauce, I was happy until the last rapper who happens to do Venrap dissed Tsongarap saying it aint shit and the rappers do not make money, mind you the rappers in the same joint are talking slick about how dope they are and Dee even went as far as spitting about his London Verse. This again shows kuri the CONCEPT was not discussed or it was not understood, the question is did the producer of the song kunga Cleinbouy hear this or vhele he wanted them to contradict each other ahi tivi. And then Dee En Kay changed the mood of the song, I was so sure he is about to kill it, na yena came through with lines like ‘mingo khoma hi nsululwani are you scared of ice?’, what is that, ice yi khomisa Nsululwani? well he did floss about sending through a verse to London and I hope it was a well written verse than this, big up to him for connecting to the world. Kay Will came through with a bit of introduction where he sang his way in ani vhele ku hava HOOK ka ngoma leyi. twana, you would think the dude will kill it, kambe he threw a 1000 lines swimanyana he wena, you end struggling to even get what he is talking about, I have listened to Twister and Busta Rhymes for a while, fast as they are, they are still audible, marha leswi swona hayi vafo. I believe Raddix was put on the last to kill the song, I mean he did say Cleinbouy hired him. If that was the purpose, it was not accomplished. I still remember the 1st listen of the song I was with mhana vafana and she said, I qoute ‘ musi lava a va fambi na beat ka papa nwana’. I mean if someone who does not even listen to rap picks that up, mina niku yini vanhu va hosi?. aredzi, twanani hi nwexe, link hi leyi. mina anaha tshami la minga kona, ni koka gasi.

MBODZA WA VHIKI: Vari Rap Yifile by Triple Tise

By the title of the song one expects know kuri ku va na resurrection with proper bars full of life, kambe ka Vari Rap Yifile rap yi endliwi nsele. I really do not know what Triple Tise was trying to do. You can’t have a title that provocative, a title that says ‘I got this’ ivi I endla mbodza wa so.

These are the songs that give genge the plaak to say ku rap yi fini, i ta ku i yini – “follow your mum to the kitchen and learn how to beef“. I must be honest kuri HOOK is catchy and it flows nice with the BEAT, it’s a dope sing along. But the verses did not do justice to the beat, the hook and the whole concept of the song.

“Vo mrapper a ni va feel/kova ti empty diss/disc..” –  Triple Tise clearly has no friends.

Let’s talk about DELIVERY… well it’s off, some lines were rushed and Triple Tise is constantly running after the beat. You can’t have a dope song regardless genre if u don’t tick off all the necessary boxes.

This song I will only give it a 2 for the beat and the hook mara leswi swin’wana I mbodza and I hope Triple Tise does better next time. There’s room for improvement and definitely the boy has potential.

Hosi ya magelegele yi lo mbya egasini…

MBODZA WA VHIKI: I will never lose by Clein Buoy feat. Tribbz Lafond x Gee

Clein Bouy has pulled the same mistake again, *sigh*…
It is unfair to say ngwenya yi endli mbodza knowing very well kuri the featured artists hi vona va nga endla mbodza, but at the end of the day mbodza I mbodza vakulukudya. I believe Clein does better when he is alone, I have listened to a couple of joints where he featured niggaz and I mbodza to tala because they can’t keep up with his standard. So I ask, why are is he featuring he genge?
The song ya I will never lose is decent from his verse to the hook, ivi lava van’wani va onha va ganama. There are two things messing up these features, either Clein Buoy features genge coz he’s lazy to finish the song or he features them for their names more than their style.
I won’t lie to u, Clien Buoy has a unique way of doing music, hi yena ntsena with this style but he keeps messing it up with unnecessary features. Next time he needs to release a song one man, no features and see where it goes.
Lowu I MBODZA WA VHIKI, I’m giving it 2 for the beat, verse ya Clien and for the effort… wo ni koka gasi ni tshama hansi…

MBODZA WA VHIKI: NGHUNGHUNYANI BY KAY FIVE

First of all, the title is misleading and I think it doesn’t fit for the song or the concept, kahle-kahle title leyi ntirho wa yona I yini? Kay Five dropped a hit 3 weeks or so ago, on A wu ku yini he was direct and claiming his spot as he showed old and new kats that he got it. Ngwenya for whatever reason decided to drop another jam called Nghunghunyani and it is a flop.

Dear Kay Five, u can’t release a joint like this fam, not right after that hit. Leswi I mbodza, you’re missing the beat here and there, you’re not clear hi direction of where u taking the song and as a listener I got lost and bored. I can’t help it but compare this Nghunghunyani with your last drop, because you’re as good as your last game.  Unfortunately, la ka Gelegele Music we review without fear nor favour – Nghunghunyani I MBODZA WA VHIKI my nigga. I encourage u to keep on that Awu ku yini tip and roll with it coz leswi I offside he madala.  You’re a hard rapper, u need to be always on that tip and if u wanna go soft, then feature a guy who can help u pukll it off.
This gets 2/5… wo ni koka Black ni tshama hansi…

MBODZA WA VHIKI: Macheleni by Mchangani

Hi sweswo!

https://soundcloud.com/mchangani/macheleni

Mina a na ha twisisi na nchumu na xin’we, I am no longer sure whether to follow the footsteps of the “pioneer” kumbe ni sungula ya mina ndlela. A lot of upcoming artists look up to Mchangaan and they take him as a leader ka TsongaRap, kambe Macheleni makes you question a lot about him.

First and foremost, leyi I mbodza. Macheleni doesn’t represent TsongaRap at all, a swi na mongo swilo leswi. All I hear is a dude rapping fast and that’s all, 1st and 3rd verse a swi khomani na hook. U ri ka hook he’s trying to get paid, he needs to make a way coz in his mind ku tele macheleni and he needs to make a way. Kambe he goes on the 1st verse speaking about Durban, vo yini-yini, karakara with girls like out there ballin’ , kasi u ain’t gonna tell us the way to make money na? Hi ku ku laveka macheleni as the song says.  On the 3rd verse I was already out of it, ngwenya yo tlalamba-tlalamba on a beat.

Is this what pioneers do? Is this the place (sound) he’s leading us to? Phela mina ni tiva yi ri a TsongaRap pioneer which means he’s a leader, we take from his lessons and add our sauce. Mchangani va hupini, ntiyiso wa laveka. Is it fair for Mchangani to claim to be the pioneer of TsongaRap? Well on this one I had to ask another “pioneer” to help me out, ku nga FanaThePurp loyi a nga a pioneer of Tsonga music reviews, kuri a hlamusela ku xana vu pioneer bya Mchangani hi byona na.

The rating for Macheleni is 2/5 and that’s only for the quality and the flows, content I mbodza.

MBODZA WA VHIKI: Hi Cinela Ntsako by Mash Sarila

I am sad to announce kuri mbodza wa vhiki i rinsimu ra Mash Sarila, what was he doing? A full song without lyrics? All he’s saying I ku hi cinela ntsako which is the title of the track. I am still puzzled coz I am trying to figure out what he was aiming at, kumbe hiku I ma dizzy-dizzy (December) he just wanted something to jam to, but I still think it’s a miss for me. Obviously it can’t all be a bad song, I believe this dude has the best quality ka music wa the up and coming artist; be it rap, RnB or Afro pop, he’s production has always been this nice swi basile and dude can sing.

I have seen him work before, but I need more reasons why ku cineliwa ntsako, who brought it, why is he happy? Who is he dancing with? Ka lovoriwa? Magayisa ya vuye Joni? Is it for love? I didn’t get anything. This for me will get a 2/5 coz of his singing and his production. Anything below 3 i mbodza la kaya.

MBODZA WA VHIKI: liqour by Patmesh feat. Dala fam

I am not even sure where to begin with this one, I thought where two giants meet byasi a byi ngehe mili but with this joint hi ta tshamela ro hlakulela. Patmesh featured Dala fam on a track called liquor, now from the two names mentioned one would think it’s gonna be a hit for December, but naaah, this is a flop.

Patmesh is a good producer, I thought he will obviously crack his own shit mara dololo, he’s not audible at all. I can’t hear what he is saying, mumbling ha yi vona mara this is too much, I can’t hear the hook nor the verse, I must say I am disappointed.

Dala came with the same old same old, lava va swi vekaku kahle va ri I tshamelo maxelo, no effort at all; he did what everyone expects from him, no change of flows nor style. Actually the only nice about this track is the beat and the flow ya Patmesh, but can that make a good song? No punchlines, no metaphors, I can’t speak on the language coz a ku twali nchumu.

I am giving this one a 1/5 because of the beat and the flow, the only catchy line I heard was ‘legs open like a spaza’ on Dala fam’s verse, leswi swin’wana is just a repetition of lines from his old songs such as A hi fambi, which scored him a space ka Slikour Incubator.  Liqour yi ta rhandziwa hi genge yo ka yi nga yingiseli ti lyrics, eka mina this is MBODZA WA VHIKI, the song is too weak for two giants. I thought this was gonna be a win, guess it’s true ku music a wu na vinyi…
