HEAT OF THE WEEK

Mabihani dyi humesini, and he instantly made a buzz on the streets. vhele genge yidyi rhandza blind, I wish this dude knew how easily he can use this to his benefit. Money dance is his latest song taken off the mixtape about to drop soon, nita minyika vuxokoxoko hi ndlela sweswi ahi vuyeni ka nghoma. Uglyraps has a dope ass style, I still wonder how it would sound hi xitsonga because he hardly raps hi ririmi. There are 2 things that made me a bit skeptical awarding this joint as a HEAT OF THE WEEK and one is the LANGUAGE and the second one is AUDIBILITY. I still say kuri anga twali muyisa loyi and without notes (lyrics) you will have to listen time and again to get what he is saying. BUT, the BEAT choice is always on point, his HOOKS are always on point and the FLOW is always catchy. It is hard not to name it the HEAT OF THE WEEK when he has ticked those boxes and obviously because na genge is making noise about it. I wont say much because I did not hear much, but i did fuck with the FLOW and the HOOK. here is a link miti twela kumbe you will hear better. nita heta so, imagine if he was doing this hi xitsonga and be audible at the same time….. ni koka Gasi, hosi ya magelegele yi tshame leee

HEAT OF THE WEEK

Hooowee!!!!!!! goosebumps as I write this. It is not easy to impress the gele2 team trust me and Akhiler Benzo sure did. I don’t know this dude and I feel bad about this, I am just happy though that I got plugged to his tunes. A lil bird told me he used to work with Rhangani and has prodcused most of his heats, makes sense when. His sound is very matured, lowu ahi music wa genge, this is the type of music that hits home. Plus loko woku kuma utwe na Black i mihloti ntsee. 80% of vatsonga either grew up with a single parent or a step parent if both, don’t ask me where I got the stats ntaku nyumisa nkosini. The joint speaks about the struggles a young one faces hi mhaka divorce and being raised by Mhani ntsongo (stepmom). Akhiler has that voice that shouts Africa,it gives me chills and I sure did felt his pain. He featured Simefree who is not new to us, and boy did not disappoint nwinoo. I felt him when he said ‘loko papa va hambana na mhani/mhe ni hlawule ku famba na mhani/ku hambana ka vona ava swi tivanga ku mina swini tisela vusiwano…’ this young lad is one of the most promising artists to blow very soon. I must add that I believe this is his best verse ever, it could be because most of the lines are true, ahi tivi but we love it. Leswo rapper rapper almost ruined the song,it was unnecessary and I tell you if the 2nd verse was the 1st I would have deleted the song before I could hear the whole song. Not because the lines are bad, but because he rapped and lost every bit of emotions of the song. This again shows the packaging was thought through and most of genge fails big time when it comes to that. Actually Dala fam u vuli swilo swo dzika in 4 lines than the whole 2nd verse, hambi hito vitaneriwa ti lawyer hivo Dala wee lol. Romeo had no substance, nothing really to rap about, it would have sounded better had he sang because it was his singing part that got me back, ani lahlekile. The BEAT is dope, the CONCEPT is dope too,it is easy to connect and I am impressed hi matirhiselo ya LANGUAGE. This is my Heat of the month, try and beat this genge. Teka link utwa….. #Gasi

Makhevesa noticed that most of his fans i vo Tomasi, so he decided to give them something to see so they can believe that he got this. Makhevesa, one of the C-siders member will be shooting a video next week Saturday le a Soshanguve le. Ahi Hlanganeni is his single from the mixtape yet to drop where he is featuring Deeboy Hi MIna, Slim D na Ezzi. It is summer time feel good song, so mina iI expect magelegele, coolerbags, nyama na magelegele futhi because they can never be enough if you ask me haha. Anyway, Makhevesa says if you are around and also want to pull through contact him ( contacts on the artwork). Ahi hlanganeni kwale, bring your own girl and come hang with us. Beer ani sure kuri ya mahala yi kona marha mukhikha wona ni sure, I mean what is a C-siders party without mutlombhoti, genge liya yi rhandza xikwembu ni teki blind. I am also .hoping kuri i swilo swa quality, as much as visuals are important, quality visuals are even better. Genge, dyondzani or else mina anaha tshami la minga kona. Gasi

HEAT OF THE WEEK

Hosi ya genge na magelegele yi pfuke kahle namuntlha, I think it was influenced by the sound I woke up to. Sometimes ku rhasa rhasa henhla ka mic a swivuli ku endla heat, as xitsonga xi vula ‘kuba ritshurhi ahi ku cina ngopfu’. Blvc Vce came through with a soothing sound this time around, muyisa loyi since a tshika ku rapper he has been sounding proper, he has a dope voice and wa twala swinene. The way you are is his latest single featuring Milqshake, yes this sound is not new (Nigerians and a couple or locals are doing it) but it sounds proper hi xitsonga there is no doubt about that. Cleinbouy, Simefree, Rejoinder na va Ezzi va busy with this sound to name a few, it is easy to listen to and when the song is well written it will surely hit the spot. The QUALITY of this song is proper, the BEAT is a nice slow jam na byi rimbani nyana byo chela ku hisa, thank you to Cleinbouy for that. Concept ya rirhandzu is easy to get away with even if you are saying the same thing over and over again especially when you are singing. I said the latter on purpose, if you listen to the singing verse which is the first one by Blvc you will hear he is not saying much but you can relate but when you listen to the second one, because it is a rap verse, you start to notice that there is nothing really hard being said kova repeat ya ti line said in different ways. Rap ya tika he vavanuna, you gotta rhyme, you gotta give us punchlines and flow must be bananas too, we will easily see through if you are doing the same thing. But this does not make this song less hot, it is our Heat of the week and we dig it, we wish Blvc sticks to this sound because he has a dope voice for it and there is a market too. vhele ra xavisiwa, like i said the last time that if you invest on your shit you will be able to sell it because you know it is worth it aniri.Genge dyondzani mi tshika ku phikizana about who is dope and who is not because at the end of the day we will ask who is making a living out of it, having said that, hina mbodza ha nyenya so you better give us heats regardless. Teka link, play it to your partner and tell him/her you love them just the way they are. Gasini hi laha ninga kona, Genge

Mbodza wa Vhiki

I do not even know where to start with this one, should I go straight to the verses or should I discuss the flops made by Cleinbouy. swini heta na mandla because this is starting to be a trend ka Cleinbouy, he gets big names on a song and they do not deliver, could be his CONCEPTS or his choices when it comes to choosing who is suitable for which beat. This joint yi hlanga-hlanganile swinene, it sounds like a battle rap match nje, everyone is doing their own thing ku hava mongo, it is disjointed AF you would swear kuri it is 4 or 5 songs put together in a space of 4min. On this one, Cleinbouy u hlanganise 5 big names( Lesson, Gymarrow, DeeEnKay, Kay Will and Raddix) and again the line up seemed like a recipe of a good joint kambe again rappers never showed up. CONCEPT ya risimu ayi twali, i had to look up the title to get an idea, himpela ma rapper lawa ma hambanile and that did not do justice to the song unfortunately. I mbodza leswi swinga endliwa la, everyone in this joint u busy blowing his own horn about how better they are, what they have achieved and the bars they have. funny enough is not none of them showed those skills, no one was actually proving why va hambinile na vanwana, what I am trying to say is that they spent time saying that they are better instead of showing why or what makes them better and different. Most were just taking shots at Tsongarap, which is the same baby all these rappers claim to be raising. Lesson came in and dissed Janfirst and later mention lines like ‘ni mrapper wa nhloko u ngeni kumi mancileni’ what the fuck is that? Gymarrow came through with nice wordplay and he mentioned that Tsongarap wont lose the sauce and he is the source of the sauce, I was happy until the last rapper who happens to do Venrap dissed Tsongarap saying it aint shit and the rappers do not make money, mind you the rappers in the same joint are talking slick about how dope they are and Dee even went as far as spitting about his London Verse. This again shows kuri the CONCEPT was not discussed or it was not understood, the question is did the producer of the song kunga Cleinbouy hear this or vhele he wanted them to contradict each other ahi tivi. And then Dee En Kay changed the mood of the song, I was so sure he is about to kill it, na yena came through with lines like ‘mingo khoma hi nsululwani are you scared of ice?’, what is that, ice yi khomisa Nsululwani? well he did floss about sending through a verse to London and I hope it was a well written verse than this, big up to him for connecting to the world. Kay Will came through with a bit of introduction where he sang his way in ani vhele ku hava HOOK ka ngoma leyi. twana, you would think the dude will kill it, kambe he threw a 1000 lines swimanyana he wena, you end struggling to even get what he is talking about, I have listened to Twister and Busta Rhymes for a while, fast as they are, they are still audible, marha leswi swona hayi vafo. I believe Raddix was put on the last to kill the song, I mean he did say Cleinbouy hired him. If that was the purpose, it was not accomplished. I still remember the 1st listen of the song I was with mhana vafana and she said, I qoute ‘ musi lava a va fambi na beat ka papa nwana’. I mean if someone who does not even listen to rap picks that up, mina niku yini vanhu va hosi?. aredzi, twanani hi nwexe, link hi leyi. mina anaha tshami la minga kona, ni koka gasi.

Madblaq better known as Ntsanwini is working on an album, isn’t that some great news guys? i mean we have been waiting for this for a while now. This boy made a buzz when he first came in the game and genge fell in love with him from the get go when he dropped his mixtape Ntsanwisi and I too must admit that he was and still is one of the promising Tsongarappers to blow. Gelegele Music team yi hleva ngopfu so yeah we know what is happening in the streets even if we not around, kambe Drake dyiri ‘it takes a what what man to be far from the hood but still understand the streets’ swiku yini? anyway you get my point. Madblaq will be dropping hi December, the album is called Nhlamulo of which I believe i vito ra nwana wakwe wa nhwanyana, congratulations by the way he mfo, u nga tshiki ku hlayisa nwana i ya studio aniri. hitwe vaku Gmax will be part of the album, Tanya, Blackmyth, Dee Michaels aka Mr trapsoul will be part of the album too. The features look good so far and I heard he is trying to get as more niggaz as he can so we will be waiting. The album will be 13 tracks and he promises nothing but fire jams and we believe he can. anyway let me hook you up wiht some of his old jams loko kuve u salele ndzhaku, Genge

Heat of the week

You see when you talk too much/make sure your sound talks as much. don’t be out here talking slick/but still struggle to drop a hit. Mi pfuke ngwenya, by Dboy Ishuu featuring rappers like Gmax, Poetrybusta, and Nigga Kia has been the talk ka Facebook page ya Tsongarap. We had to hunt it down and give it a listen, all we can say is Ishuu to the BEAT, Ishuu tothe HOOK, Ishuu to the opening VERSE. Poetrybusta better known as the flow master did not disappoint, i must again stress kuri ngwena leyi is in his own league when it comes to the usage ya LANGUAGE. Gmax came through as well, I wont say much about him because you already know this guy can go on for the whole verse hi Xitsonga and still kill it, kaneta nitwa?. well the joint is dope and genge yi busy talking about it, but the other half ya genge is touched hi 3rd verse ya NiggaKia because he used lines ta Kwesta nkarhi a vhakele Sway le amerika. ‘1 2 3 ani hetisi ni tsema 4.5’ be the line that genge felt NiggaKia was biting, well yes he did bite unfortunately. here is how we feel about using lines that have been used before, genge please reference them than trying to make them your own or….. just don’t fucken use them at all. ha yingisela music vandzuwe and ahi juteki so you better think twice before you bite. but again, it is just one line in the whole dope song, mina i chose to overlook it. the concept was easy and all rappers followed it to the par, leyi i Heat of the week and if you disagree ask yourself why are you and everyone else is talking about it? ‘vo Mrapper vani endla alarm va lava ku pfuka hi mina’ is my favourite line, ya nyanganya and ya hlekisa at the same time. if you guys want to hear what I am talking about, hit the link below. Heat of the week

Kuna Ndzilo xitangeni, what a fresh breath. Who would have thought Tsongarap would sound like this? I mean music lowu ahi wa genge, some classic soulful easy to the ear shit. Okay maybe I am a bit bias because I love this type of sound, that’s what I am into. But gelegele music and being bias don’t go hand in hand so we gonna have to set aside our preferences hi languta ntiyiso. Travolata Salane, I must admit it’s my 1st time listening or hearing about this fella and I must tell you that he’s nice. I must again mention kuri ngwenya spent on this sound,it is so crystal clear. As much as yi valavula hi Ndzilo xitangeni, it is clear he didn’t record in one. The BEAT is insane, classic shit. FLOW is bananas too,I must say though that he has that Lupe Fiasco flows but he really needs to be careful with that, people fall in love more with new sound, new flows, new everything that recycled stuff or ‘sound alike’ niggaz. Pen game(LYRICS) ya ngwenya ahi yale dibini ni, you can tell kuri Salane sat and wrote hayi leswo phutela ti beat ku vula ka Leo Bee. I’m hooked by the HOOK,simple and straight forward hayi swa ba gungu. BUT, Salane will take us back to the debate ya Tsongarap if it is regarded as a movement or a genre because he sounds like a rapper who spits less hi Xitsonga vanhu va hosi and you know la ka gelegele music hi bombisa ririmi. LANGUAGE yona yo totiwa lhaya na lhaya ingaku I xinkwa xo toteliwa nkosini. My take is,whether you look at it as a movement or a genre,ku hava Tsongarap without the proper usage ya ririmi he majita. Does that make this a bad song? Should we crucify him for the lack of language usage? Does this make it a Mbodza of the week? I’d let yall decide but hey,who does it better than gelegele reviews huh. Track I hit majita, swi soulful swilo leswi and it is easy to listen to. I must say ku na quality makes it easy to listen to this joint. I’d love to hear more of Travolata Salane but with more Xitsonga in it,here’s the link genge mi xava. See when you spend on your stuff, you bound to even sell it because you know awu xavisi Mbodza and your product is proper. Dyondzani genge, you can make money out of this but 1st you must invest. MUKUFUKUFU

You know its a hit when you hear ‘Papa I Cleinbouy anga chaya’, Cleinbouy has been working so damn hard since late last year and this year as well. Muyisa loyi has been making a buzz na, Munghana Lonene (MLFM) heard him,and now he’s noisy there too. We are loving his production,we believe he’s one of the few va nga best ka tsonga rap. He’s back again with a Joint named They Made Me Do It where he features West, LA PEE and Yow Bee. He’s playing ‘Dj Khaled’ on this one coz he didn’t jump in but was on production only. In the street,ve ra mbeya rinsimu leri, we as gelegele music obviously needed to hear for ourselves hiku ani ahi hambanangi kule na Thomas. We actually asked a few kuri why do you think it’s a heat,yi khoma la yi tshika la onge yo lahla mali genge. Well here’s why we think the joint is lukewarm, ro kufumela nje. 1st of all the concept is dope, has depth and we love it,the beat is always on point as long as there’s Cleinbouy everybody knows he got it, and lastly the hook is very tight, catchy but short (it’s always advisable to keep the catchy party coming back more or longer because that’s what keeps us glued). The concept is about the sacrifices one makes for his family, some go out of their ways in order to put food on the table. One can write a lot ka concept ya so,simply because most if not all have made such sacrifices, but then, Fellas in the verses chose to rap about things they don’t do,never did and never would attempt. Guess what, emotions vanish when it’s like that, the authenticity disappears too. What’s a song without emotions?. Yes we do say stuff that we don’t do or never did,but not in a song like this. A lot of artists have lied about f#cking bitches and popping bottles,we get that. But this would have been a dope ass song if the 2 rappers searched deep and gave us their experiences more than their imagination. I would really say more about the verses but I just hate lies and ani lavi ku hembisiwa mbuyangwani. This song ri kufumeta hi swilo swinharu ntse, hi beat,hi concept and hi hook..hi ku komisa,West killed a joint with less than 10 lines. If I had to choose a verse between the two I’d go with LA’s because the lines were closer to me and more real than that of sniffing coke and running from kingpin and getting shot at and finding myself between heaven and heal. But the good thing is,I don’t have to choose. But you guys can tell us what you think of the song on the comment section below, teka link u yingisela #Theymademedoit…..Gasi

HEAT OF THE WEEK

Genge yiri ku dissiwa Mthimbhani in this song…..ma penga na? Mi kahle marha nhlokweni vafo? Mina anaha tshami la mi nga kona. Anyway if there’s beef we will definitely hear Mthimbhani say something hi ku swakudya swale ka makhoma yi swi rhandza ngo ngwenya liya. Vuyakaya let me tell you about a song called Vuyakaya, tshika beef mina na nyama loko u vulavula hi swakudya. Mr ‘I hype myself’ aka BOET (bars over every thing) better known as Leo Bee has made a come back, not because he had left but because he had to shut Genge when it comes to Wordplay, puns and metaphors you name it. And…..he did, here’s your Heat of this week,or should I say of the month because nhweti ya July has been dry nwino,ti heat a ti kala ku fana na gelegele le Palms Chiawelo. Cleinbuoy came through with a dope beat, hardcore,a perfect stage for an MC to showcase his skills. ‘ I got em hooked , se va jike ka Hina ,
damn Se nwana u Nkulu/
U teke na nsati, u kume na n,wana/
well Xikwembu xikulu/’. Hi loko a nghena phela Leo, giving you something to think about. He has a song called Jika ka Hina, an album named Nwana u Nkulu and I heard he has child and a wife, what a skillful way to brag about his accomplishments and still thank God (Xikwembu xikulu). Leo’s place ka tsongarap has been questioned lately by genge, you know mus, genge being genge. And he heard the questions, he answered and was very direct and maybe this is the reason some think it’s a diss song to Mthimbhani unless he’s the whack one making it vanwu vulaku on these lines, hlaya uti twisa nwana tati. ‘Leswo huma hi fastere laka game aniswlavi/No tshama hik fostela na swona aniswlavi/I can’t even dab leswa swag swan tsandza/They succeed while whack ninge hemb swan vava’. We could go on and on with his lyrics to show you the writing skills and why he’s considered one of the best MC’s ka tsongarap, but why waste time if you can rather hear for yourself? The beat is dope, the concept is dope because it is so provocative na genge yi chuhwini, the usage ya language and the emotion is dope too. See why it’s a heat of the week? Tick all the boxes if you want a hit, 1. Beat must be dope, 2. Emotions, 3. Concept vanhu va hosi 4. There’s no tsongarap without LANGUAGE so use it…with these 4( yes there’s more) you can easily get that heat. Teka link, download the jam and play it and if you need lyrics too,ti kona famba hlaya. I must add that his work is organised, dyondzani genge dyondzani. Ni vuyela gasini
